PERSONAL* MyOutfit: It's all about priorities

Due to some time-consuming work priorities (cfr. Fashion Cats & Copy Cats), I'm behind on MyOutfit-posts. So here the outfit I wore last thursday.

*Bought this beautiful cardigan in Antibes on holiday. If you ever wondered where the best vintage or second hand shops are, the Côte d'Azur is definitely the answer!

EMMA* Fashion Cats & Copy Cats

FEIT: Sinds EMMA bestaat voelen nogal wat dames, waarschijnlijk aangemoedigd door het succes van EMMA, zich ook geroepen om Personal Stylist te worden.
Zo rijzen links en rechts tientallen sites uit de grond die allemaal 1 of meerdere aspecten van Personal Styling, Shopping en Coaching aanbieden.

FEIT: Het staat iedereen vrij zich ook op de markt te gooien en het waar te maken. We wish you luck.

FEIT: Maar wel onder 1 absolute voorwaarde:
met een eigen origineel concept.

Blijkbaar geraken sommige van die dames echter niet verder dan gewoon te stelen van de EMMA site. Waar EMMA tijd, energie, geld en creativiteit in investeert, waar EMMA soms van wakker ligt, waar EMMA specialisten voor consulteert en betaalt, dat plunderen die zielige Miekes zonder scrupules.
And so obvious…
Niet alleen het EMMA concept wordt klakkeloos overgenomen.
Ook structuur & navigatie, opbouw van de site, prijssetting, content & formuleringen,… worden in een copy/paste formule gewoon naar hun eigen site overgezet.

TRIESTIG FEIT: Sommige van die sites zijn van zo schamelijke kwaliteit, dat de copy/paste stukken van EMMA veruit de enige zinnen zonder fouten zijn. Dat belooft voor de kwaliteit van de service!

JURIDISCH FEIT: Maar wat die Copy Cats schijnen te vergeten of waarschijnlijk zelfs niet eens weten, is dat de rechtbanken zeker niet lachen met plagiaat.

Daarom heeft EMMA het volgende beslist:

Bericht aan de Copy Cats

EMMA heeft een juridisch adviseur die alle vormen van plagiaat op het EMMA concept, de EMMA communicatie en de EMMA site screent.
Plagiaat is een inbreuk op het auteursrecht en EMMA is vast van plan haar auteursrecht streng te bewaken, te handhaven of af te dwingen.

Which means :
De Copy Cats in strijd met het bovenstaande moeten al hun vormen van plagiaat van hun site en/of hun andere communicatiedragers zoals folders, kaartjes, brochures, direct mails etc… te halen, zoniet zullen zij per aangetekend schrijven gevorderd worden in een burgerlijke procedure bij dagvaarding voor de Rechtbank van 1ste Aanleg te Gent. Daarenboven wordt strafrechterlijk klacht ingediend met burgerlijke partijstelling bij de onderzoeksrechter met de eis tot schadevergoeding.

This is definitely the largest image I have ever seen of myself. And that for a girl who was ashamed of showing her driver license the other day because of the little picure on it!

FASHION* H&M / Comme des Garcons

For the first time I missed the launch of a H&M / designer collaboration.
Too much work, a severe cold and my negative opinion about the collection were the main reasons. So when I was lying in bed thursday morning, I pictured myself a excited wild crowd. Pushing and screaming like animals, just to get their hands on the limited pieces.
Hallelujah I wasn't there with my major headache and grumpy mood!

Two days later, between jobs, I went to H&M and by my surprise there was still much left.
Hats, purses, dresses and those awful polka-dotted shirts were all present and seeing them in real life, my dissilution didn't change. It's a weak, overpriced collection in a poor quality where even the packaging is ugly.
The only people who did a good job are the marketeers, getting you all crazy over absolutely nothing.
I hope you do better next year H&M.
